If this is the problem I think it would be easy enough to remove the bolts, put the seat back in the grooves, and reinstall the bolts without messing with any of the electronics connected to the seat.

Thanks! I will take a look at the rear bolts. I tend to think it's that, rather than them not being inserted correctly in front because the problem developed over time.

I don't actually use a dedicated wheel cleaner. Car shampoo, wheel brush, and horsehair detailing brush for the delicate areas only.
