Yes and no. You WILL have to meet the noise requirement. For NCM its 103db. My Z has headers, catless mid-pipes, and factory NPP mufflers. I get black flagged if I rev the car out to 7000+ RPMs...

Thanks for the response. Ive been looking for an intake that would clear the stock hood and help power up top without breaking the bank. But mines an LS7 car so id have to use billet adapters.

A big cam definitely takes some time getting used to. Glad you're enjoying it! I've never regretted a performance mod to mine yet. All they do is get me to grin wider when I hit the go fast pedal!

They're both great cars! No way a ZL1 1LE is going to take anymore of a significant loss in the future. Maybe the base ZL1 for sure, but I guarantee the 1LE won't be a terribly high production model...
