Could be the year the part was manufactured or production tolerance issues. Same reason why Anderson Composites had 1LE wings that fit, then suddenly they didn't for almost a year before they caught...

That's 100% untrue. The 1LE shocks and springs are 3x stiffer than a standard ZL1. Swapping them out for aftermarket coil overs would make a HUGE difference.
