I think .010 matters for something like the Johnson 2110r’s that have a desired preload of .035 +/- .010, but ls7 lifters and the caddy racing lifters are much more forgiving.

Yeah I know I need to remove the oil pan to get the oil pump off, as well as to clean and apply new RTV. I am wondering how easy/difficult it would be to remove it without removing the engine.

Yes, I know that the timing cover, oil pan, and rear cover use rtv instead of a gasket. I recently installed a cam in my car without removing the engine, but I didn't remove the oil pan.

I don't THINK you need to change anything in the tune, I think you just have to disable some codes related to higher than normal pressure.

Any info on doing the install with the engine in the car?

I think 10 ppm for only 1000 miles on that oil is a little high, but I think it probably came from my brand new bronze trunnions wearing in.
