The problem cleared itself after letting it cool down for a few hrs. I was running @ WOT for a bit when this started happening, I think it just overheated the trans fluid a bit.

Actually thats a safety clip that was added around 2000 to the LS engines. Before that the fitting didn't have it and there wasn't any real issue. The fuel line fitting itself will stay on just fine....
