Ummmm as for the 8 gauge wire, it will get pretty hot. Go with 4 gauge. You might also have issues getting the 12" subs into the trunk.

Messing with the fuses is not hard if you go that route. Fuse taps are extremely easy. However I say just wire to the ambients or the dome.

It's extremely easy, did it in 20 minutes. I suggest getting T-Taps that you can splice and hold separately only because how limited you are with room under the dash.
