Perhaps the shop installed the pad spring upside down? This would result in a grinding sound when the rotor is turned.

Is there a way to turn off the call ended confirmation? (Especially annoying when getting turn-by-turn directions using a mapping application with out other audio source turned on.)

Hog Ring Tip

When removing the existing factory covers, use tin-snips to clip the factory hog-rings. They will give you better leverage vs regular wire cutters and are easier on your hands. I figured this out...
