Stealership said it’s covered up to 3yrs/36k miles. Already exceeded the former.

I saw a thread where someone used a rubber strip to mask - am considering this option.

This tube/ whatever it is, that sit behind the grille,freely moves up and down, see scuffed marks

I don’t feel the punch when I floor it, and uncertain if related to the tear down, 98 degrees and humidity, or just .....???

Would this repair affect performance?
