yes it has an end that will plug right into Kenwood. And I have the 9980hd and I saw that it will work with mine. I believe I will have to remove the plastic piece thats around the end of the factory...

Okay thanks y'all! I think I've got it figured out! I'll just plug the cord from the stock xm antenna into a new xm module then run that to the new xm adapter....then plug that into the head...

I'm having the same issue with my kenwood...

I'm having the same issue with my kenwood headunit, except with alpine kit. But I ended up having to use an adapter since the cord for steering controls wont work with kenwood. I'm going to figure it...

I see you have an ipad...why not just get one of those small, simple speakers to plug into that...seems to be something pretty simple that would be sufficient enough for what you need it for.

Hmm okay, from hearing a few different people's advice on sound quality comparisons, I think I'm just going to use the aftermarket mic. Quality seems to be a little better.
