Side speakers have two screws. The sub is a different story. Dependent on the sub, you will most likely have to re-drill the stock support plate. I used piercing screws which made the job simple....

No problem on the side rear speakers or sub. Side speaker panels have serviceable clips. Just have a nice thin plastic pry to start the disengagement. Start at the front and work your way back. ...

Great idea etmx, but no luck recreating the situation. Also it never happened on the second or third start up so I don't think the defrost was the problem. Ironically it has never happened...

Thank you both. I did not disconnect the battery as I didn't want to confuse anything within the electrical ironically! :-) All the wires seem fine. Boy I hope it's a one time thing.
