What would your take be on a speedo gauge needle light just going out? the gauge still works, but the light to illuminate the needle is inop... I am not sure what to do. I heard of doing the battery...

you could just unhook the throttle body lead.......

you could just unhook the throttle body lead.... it'll run for 5 secs and die.
