Are you sure about that? On my car I cannot adjust the pre-set modes. I can create a custom mode but that negates the pre-set ones. So my only options are to use the pre-sets or the 1 custom option....

Seems like a cheap easy way to get a little better sound. I found an X pipe meant to delete them but it seems like a ton of money in comparison to getting someone to just weld a piece in-between.
