buy a digital gauge and set the air to the recommended pressure. Relearn the system if you want, all gauges will almost certainly vary slightly.

it doesn't matter what tire you put on with a 24 inch tire. You will have mostly rims with little to no side wall. You will have a extremely sporty ride. very stiff!
