Did you removed the dashboard for cleaning fan...

Did you removed the dashboard for cleaning fan housing? Because there is no way reach the fan with vaccum (at least the one I've got in place).

Frank - I have pretty much the same problem right now. Did you cleaned it by yourself or did Dealer the job?
Don't know how to get to the HVAC blower motor...

Great idea! I did bought some pet odor removal enzyme today and will try asap. Afterwards I'm going to proceed with vinegar.
