I wash mine weekly, use detail spray when needed.
I wax quarterly and clay bar every other wax job.
Don't know if its needed that often but I enjoy it.

Thanks for the advice. I know its safe to use detail spray such as Mothers or Mcquires, was curious as to those spray on waxes. I will call the dealership later today.

Thanks. I actually picked up that styling cue from some of the original '68 Camaros that were black at the bottom below the chrome. I loved the shape it gave the body at a distance.
