Camaro SS 2010 Battery
Hi Guys ,
I just noticed that my car's battery is in the trunk :yikes: its an ACDelco Battery , but what model number , can i get any other type of Battery for the car in future ??? Thanks |
I don't think the OP is having battery trouble, I think it was just a "hey I'm curious about this" question. OP, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Optima batteries are by far the best bang for the buck. They with stand all temps and conditions.

The battery is in the trunk for better weight distribution. By all means, it's cheaper to stick it under the hood and run shorter cables to the fuse box. Thanks to GM for putting a little extra effort into our vehicles. But also know that you don't have to access the battery IN the trunk in order to jumpstart the car. There are posts in the engine bay--the positive terminal with the big red plastic cap, and the negative/ground terminal which is a post sticking out of the left fender/apron.
Replacement batteries can be found at any auto parts store, relatively cheaply. My strategy is to buy the one with the longest warranty. I'd only run an Optima if I was running a lot of accessory/sound equipment or for racing because I think they require a dry-cell battery (correct me if I'm wrong). |
I'm confused, are any of our comments necessary? lol
