ZL1 1LE in 2017 MotorTrend Best Driver's Car?
 

So MT just posted this picture on it's instagram account! There's plenty of speculation to be had here but of course what we are concerned with is what car that Chevy key belongs to!

So as it is clearly the key for a M6 equipped car my guess is ZL1-1LE! It would not have surprised me if they had the regular ZL1 but I would think they would get the A10 if that was the case. And we know the MT guys are dying to get their hands on the 1LE so I think I'm right about this one!

Also for fun let's get some guesses on what the competition might be!!!

It looks like the Demon and the Giulia.

Well since the ZL1 1LE is a 2018, my guess is the 2017 ZL1 is in the running for car of the Year.

My guess is the Demon will only be there for the World's Greatest Drag Race.

They do this like their annual awards, so the model year and the year of the event don't always line up. Like how the 2016 Camaro won the 2015 MT Car of The Year, and last year the 2017 SS 1LE was in BDC, it was a pre-production car.

Are they that strict? The ZL1 1LE will be in the hands of the public by next month if not this month.

If it's not the 1LE, how could it be the ZL1 since it just lost to the 350R for exhaust sound?

They wouldn't put the standard zl1 in that test, they already said they liked the standard 1le as a drivers car better.

Its going to be the zl1 1le if it's a camaro.

You may be right that it's a ZL1 1LE (I hope you're right). It could also be a Corvette Grand Sport, since that was not in the last MTBDC event.

+1 I would guess Corvette but a ZL1 1LE would be sweet to see as well!

From the looks of it the production date has something in front - 2017. Are they saying produced 2016-2017 for the dates? Guess gonna be hard to figure out for a minute....

The "production dates" that are covered up are referring to the film production of BDC, which usually takes place some time in June or July. And I think last year almost all of the contenders were 2017 model year cars so this year should be mostly 2018s.
