Octane additives
I can only get 90 octane where I live, so I was wondering if by adding octane boost, will that bring 90 to say 91, 92, 93. I want to get 93 octane but cannot at the pumps here.

One word: Torco
I add 1 32 oz can to a fill tank of crappy Cali 91 Octane and it brings it up to 97 octane. With different mixtures you can go up to 105 or more. It's bullshit, like the poser stuff they sell at Pep Boys it's the real deal |

Look at where the OP lives, this seems to be his only option.

just go to the airport and buy jet fuel, only 15 bucks a gallon.

Dont buy jet fuel, thats kerosene. Buy av gas, or aviation fuel. Totally different animals

I also run a quart of torco per fill up, it adds around $20 per fill up.
I have two tunes from JRE. One for 91 octane pump fuel if I take a longer trip of if I do not want to add the torco which gets me around 505-510 RWHP. I also have a +93 octane tune for use with the quart of torco which brings things to around 97 octane. With that tune I am in the 550-560 RWHP range. Does not seem like much but it is very noticable when driving the car compared to the 91 octane tune. Would be nice to have the power with the 91 but I would rather be safe then sorry and Ted makes sure things are safe! Its better then using a water/meth system for the same purpose, if that runs out or the system fails, your in serious trouble. If the torco fails, you run out of gas!!!!:D |
Im in Alaska as well and I use Torco. Lots of places sell it here. Stuff works great. Its 22$ for a 32oz bottle, but alot cheaper than an engine.
|
as everyone has said. Torco or nothing... the others are all fakes, they don't do anything worth while.
you need this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg |
so you pour all of the 32oz can into a full gas tank ? Thanks.
