I test drove one and it was a super fun little car. Then for some reason I did not buy it. Stupid move. :bonk: My favorite car was my 1990 Taurus SHO. The car I most wish I had back is my 1978 Z28. |
Had a '69 Nova with a pretty crazy 396 in it. I was doing a full restoration on it, got to hear it run, but had to sell it before it was done...so I never got to drive it or see it completed. Yeah, I'd like that one back.

So far I miss the 96 Corvette I just sold. 396 LT4 with ported heads, cam, etc.; VBP Xtreme springs, Banski rear suspension links, etc. It was slightly faster in a straight line than a stock C6 Z06, it would run laps on a road course all day in the summer with no overtemps, and I could still daily-drive it every day for three years. It sounded amazing at WOT, too. It's the only car I've owned that was faster than my new SS 1LE.

Still have all of my performance vehicles I've ever owned. '69 442 (rotted beyond repair thanks to N. Illinois winters) I got in '81, drove in high school. '71 Cutlass my father purchased in '78, it still has the Sun tach I installed in 1979 when I was in 8th grade. The twin '15 Camaros, nuff said. Sentimental? Hoarder? Whatever the adjective I have no regrets.

Probably my 05 GTO! Had a love/hate relationship with her! Pic was a few weeks after I sold it and got the Camaro. Saw it in the rear view and slowed down. Knew it was my old ride passing by :).

Used to own a 09 Mazda RX-8 GT M6 in Velocity Red Mica. It was a good gateway to get me into spirited driving and Autocross. Totally made learning how to drive a stick worth it.
It's pretty much the opposite of the pushrod V8s: no torque to speak of, but the 1.3L Wankel rotary will scream and scream until the beeper goes off at the 9000 RPM redline. The gearbox is geared really well and feels very solid when shifting. I have a few videos of it and made me miss it when I watch them. There is also my C7 that I lost to the flood, but I didn't own it long enough to feel too attached to it. Just feel bad for the beautiful car. |
My most fun car I sold was my 07 Mustang Gt that I sold in the fall before getting my 6th gen. I would not give up my 6th gen for it back but I will say it was a better "muscle car" than the 6th gen is and that's why I miss it. By "better", I don't mean faster. It was just more fun to cruise/hoon/be loud in. The Alpha Camaro to me is a pure sports car. The only muscle car things about it are the engine characteristics and exhaust note. It rides and drives so much better than my Mustang did or any other muscle pony cars made. I haven't owned the Camaro very long so I don't miss my Mustang too much but sometimes I do wish I was cruising in a car that feels "looser" and is more "rowdy".
The car I think I'll regret passing up on is the 03/04 Cobra. I always wanted one and when I finally could get one (financially) it just did not make sense to pay 6th gen camaro SS money in 2019 for a car that's a relic now and can only do 1 thing. My heart still wants it but my brain said no, it doesn't make sense. So many better cars have come out since its inception that cost the same but offer more and are newer. I know one day I'll regret not getting one but I like to be semi-fiscally responsible haha. |
My 2014 Camaro ZL1 & 2011 Mustang GT 5.0

1974 Nova SS with the heavy-duty M-22 "Rock Crusher" four-speed. Had all the bells and whistles of the day and went out the door for $4k.

My 1974 Plymouth 340 with 383 Offeninhouser 4 speed.
