height difference: sunroof vs. no sunroof

i am 6'6" tall and so space is required for me in my purchase of a camaro. does anyone know the exact difference in height between the two models? i have been told no sunroof is much more spacious. i'd just like to know specifics.

also if any of you are taller than 6'4", personal experience in either would be helpful. thanks.

Go to the dealer and try a few on for size. It is an inch or so difference. I went without... reluctantly... but I needed the headroom.

I am 6'3" and its fine with the sunroof but like he said go sit in both.

I've owned both. At first I thought the sunroof car was all good. But I hated not being able to see the top of the passenger side front fender (when parking for example).

I prefer no sunroof and I'm just 6 feet.

As said before it is about 1 - 1.5 inches. I'm 6'2" with sunroof and I hit all the time. It really depends on where most of your height is, in the torso or the legs. If you have a long torso, you will have a hard time in either model.

I am 6'5". I can NOT fit in the 5th gen with a sunroof (or a 4th gen hard top, vert or t top only). I have about 2" of clearance in my reverse mohawk, and that is with me leaning back a tad much. With a comfortable seat back position, I would hit my head over most bumps.

I am only 6' tall, but have a long torso. I wanted the sunroof. So, I sat in both before I bought, and if I remember correctly there was only about a finger-width between my head and the roof with the sunroof. I felt like that was not enough room, so I went without. My only consolation is that i really do like the look of the "reverse mohawk".

I am 6'5" with 35" inseam and sleeves. Sat in both and would not have bought a camaro with a sunroof. Mine is a manual trans and if the seat is leaned back I can't reach 5th gear.

I am 6' even and have the sunroof in my SS, my wife has no sunroof in her LS and I have plenty of headroom in her car. In mine when my hair is longer and needs to be cut like now my hair hits the head liner and it bugs the hell out of me (I know I know get your hair cut dumb a$$) so I think the advice to sit in both cars is good advice.

I really wanted a sunroof, but at 6'9" it just wasn't going to happen for me. I think you're SOL on the sunroof my friend.

I am 6'0 with a long torso and just fit with the sunroof. But when I went to the track I found my helmet rubbed the roof. If I put the seat-back way back I could just fit if I tilted my head a little.

Love having the roof though. It is very quiet and not all that drafty. On a nice day it really adds to the enjoyment of the ride.

I'm curious - do all of you taller folks have the seat adjusted all the way down?
