He builds up to it, but skip to 5:20 to see your brain explode.

duhh..god.

Ho hum. He still has a way to go to get into the shadows of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix. Would you not agree, oh my sage bro's?

Technical proficiency? I would disagree.

Perhaps you're right. Where would you place a fast drummer on a similar proficiency scale? Let's say Ginger Baker?

Totally disagree - none of those players (at their peak/still alive etc.) you mentioned could do what he just did, not even close. In fact, of those 3, Stevie is the only one I like, and I HATE the blues, but man that guy could play. Otherwise, just not into Old Guy Rock.

and Jack Bruce - Cream FTW!:happyanim:

Those old guys were not "just fast", they were great musicians. They were innovative and expressive. Fast playing a guitar is an amazing talent but realisticaly, are we going to be listening to this guy play that fast music 40 years from now?

-Mark.

Maybe not that guy in particular, but Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer have been popular for almost 30 years now. I'd take Hangar 18 over White Room any day.

red green yellow redgr...F^&$&*$*! I cannot even get close to this on Guitar Hero.

So...is his parent's basement finished? (J/K!!)

Pretty cool!

Total fraud. I was counting and he only got up to 596.

There's no denying this guy has talent....for playing fast. I'd have to see him play other things to know his worth as a musician though. Otherwise there's no way to know if he's a one-trick pony or a guitar god.

John Petrucci might not play as fast as this guy, but I'd consider his rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee to be much better (starts at about 7:00)
