I feel like it's definitely attainable, with this new engine the engineers have so much more they can do with it, especially since you know they're rushing to hit production deadlines.

The keys would be good in anyones hand honestly, because the ZR1 has I believe 5 different sport traction modes.

GM will be releasing full technical details on the Gen5 LT1 including final horsepower and torque numbers at 2013 SAE World Congress, which is held at Cobo Hall in Detroit April 16-18.

So that's worst case scenario on when we'll find out the real numbers.

Vette TPI 01-23-2013 04:46 PM

That's so long away

OctaneZ28 01-23-2013 09:24 PM

That's just the release at the SAE event.
The official public release from GM may come sooner. :)

On Jay's garage they just said 450/450.
They didn't say around that or at least that.
I suspect it'll be damn close to what they've claimed, leaving plenty of room for growth.

They also said the car had a six-speed automatic when it had a seven-speed manual and that the rear lip spoiler was standard.

I wouldn't put too much faith into that video.

I'm not going off of what Jay himself said as he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

I'm going with 456/450. No way this engine is anywhere close to what the numbers some people are posting. GM cares more about fuel economy than anything else these days

Stingray 01-24-2013 07:38 PM

I'd still be satisfied if the final rating remained status quo @ 450/450. Anything higher is a plus! :stingray:
