All the colors are nice, the one I thought would be terrible was the lime rock green, but after seeing it at our driving school in NV a couple weeks ago, I am now a fan. Lots of metallic, and it looked awesome :)

I thought the Lime Rock Green would be terrible as well and questioned Chevy for even making that color.

So do you think the 500 Premiere Edition Stingrays will jump the line on the retail sold orders we are all tracking? :noidea:

By jump the line, do you mean be assembled first? Probably but remember the first builds will not go on the car haulers until well over a thousand are assembled so I do not see it holding up delivery for many and more than a few days for most.

Ok so I went thru the site and seen it! Really cool package! Why wasn't this an available option though? Is there some reason the public didn't know about it in the beginning of the order process? I do wonder how it will affect the start up of production vs the sold retail orders. Will these arrive at dealerships, or will they be in the order guide. Luggage is awesome! Thanks for posting!

Not sure if you saw the video included with that link but I believe these 500 Coupes will go to the highest volume dealers and they will be able to sell to whomever they want and at whatever market price will pay. Also this vehicle will not become one available to order going forward. With the exception of the wheels and unique VIN and plate you could pretty much get the same vehicle ordered today.

I hope these 500 are part of the what Chevy wanted to get into dealers hands early on and do not affect the retail sold orders we are so "patiently" waiting on:headbang:

Has anyone heard of GM not allowing new orders on Mondays? Here's the email I just got from my Sales Guy:

"...the system only takes orders Tuesday through Saturday and shuts down new orders Sunday , Monday. So , she said she will do it tommorow and will have it done."

Is this true?

The system "rests" on Sundays, which is why there is no status movement until Tuesday That part is true. How that affects ordering I do not know. I live in one of the few areas where domestic new car dealerships are open Monday thru Friday 48 weeks a year and Monday thru Saturday no more than four times a year so I have never tried to put a order in on a weekend.

The order can be created anytime - not sure about
Sunday - never tried. The system will not accept an
order into it's system Sun/Mon as it cycles.
