Shooting flames now

I've noticed after I had my LT headers and cat-less mid pipes installed and tuned that I've lost my decal popping, but now I get one loud pop and flames shoot out. I think it's super cool and people are always waving me down letting me know there's flames coming out of my exhaust. I was just wondering if this is normal.

holy shit that sounds awesome lol
I love my decal poppin though, id miss it too much even if I was shooting flames..
anyhow which long tubes did you get?
maybe an expert can chime in and say if that is "normal" lol

Without cats you are getting unburnt gasoline in your exhaust and it's causing flames to shoot out. If you had cats the gas would be hitting the cats and cooling them down. If you like it keep it otherwise you can have your tuner fix it

Fuel trim is probably set too rich when the decel pop was tuned out.

Yep, usually the fix for decel pop is more fuel.

Cats actually get hotter and convert the unburnt fuel, they don't cool anything down. Too much unburnt fuel in a cat can cause them to overheart and literally melt.

Would imagine a cop seeing flames come out of your exhaust would probably pull you over.... Just a guess.

Your not. I love it but there are a couple of people that say that it sounds like an old pickup

I'll get some videos tonight to show you guys, it's pretty cool. It only happened after I was tuned though. I was going untuned for a week and there was no flames.
