DRL Question
2017 1SS/1LE
Noticed that my DRLs are not on while driving with the lights on auto — when I flip it up to the next setting while parked or driving, they turn on, but not while in “auto”. Is it supposed to be that way? |

At night they are dimmed to avoid overpowering the low beam, but they should be on nevertheless. |
Thanks for the quick response — I’m not sure what the issue is w/my car then
Also just noticed that my windshield wipers won’t shoot any liquid out, and the reservoir isn’t empty. Related issue? |

Strange cuz the DRLs run when set on manually but not in auto — have you known of anyone having issues with the photo sensor? When I switch the light down from the setting with DRLs on to the “ auto position” I noticed a quick flicker of the headlights /DRLs for just a split second before turning off. |

Are they supposed to always be on in auto? Strange cuz when I turn my switch up from auto it says “automatic mode disabled”. I used to recall unlocking my car and seeing the DRLs turn on — that doesn’t happen anymore |

On autos the DRLs are on when in drive not park, not sure on sticks...Also headlights come on when wipers are on...at least on my newer GMs

Maybe you turned the stalk down one notch from "auto" [the stalk rotates back up to auto after you do this so you'd never know] and that turns them off until you turn the stalk down once more from the "auto" position to turn them back on. If that doesn't work, then that's a dealership visit.

Are you sure what you think is "auto" isn't "off"? The DRL's should always be on in auto or on and will only turn off off if you want them to by switching the lights to off.

Obvious to most but not me...
Just a real quick reply from a stupid person. I had my radar detector covering the outside light detector on my dash. When I moved my detector to the left a little bit the problem was
solved. 2021 Camaro 2SS 1LE with the track package and a Hennessey upgrade. |
