Still too quiet!!

Ok I have a 2014 ss2 Manual LS3 camaro. Full length headers, HF cats, CAI intake, xpipe dual Carvan through mufflers. Custom dyno tune. Car feels awesome. Can't keep traction power.
Issue is sound I drive next to stock mustangs and challengers and those just roar. My camaro is so silent. Sound wise what should I do? Ditch the cats? Get a different muffler setup?

Resonated X-pipe?

Cat delete maybe, or if it's a resonated X switch non resonated

Exhaust cutouts, quiet when you need it to be, loud when you want it to be

Apex Motorsports 03-06-2016 06:12 PM

If you want it roar you have got to ditch the mufflers.

Either X-Pipe and jba axle back or jba cat back.

Just deleting the mufflers with LTs and HFCs will be unbearable. I am only running stock manifolds, HFCs and resonator and muffler delete. At this level it is maniacle. It would be unbearable with LTs without some sort of muffler. Being LS3, you do not have the resonator issue, just wanted to be apples to apples from the cats back.

Check out the jba videos on you tube. You will not be disappointed.

A simple straight pipe should get you rocking. Maybe ditch the cats too

PostNup 03-06-2016 07:31 PM

Apex and juiced both know their stuff for sure... So no disrespect there.

But like I said above, before LTs it is maniacal!! I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like with LTs, and my goal was only to scare old women and small children :)

Pm me and I will send you a cold startup vid. It is too big to post here... still trying to figure that part out

I run long tubes into a non resonated h, and npp mufflers. Idle is quiet, she screams up top. Wouldn't have it any other way lol

Homeless Man 03-07-2016 03:47 AM

I had muffler deletes before headers and it's not maniacle idk what he's talking about.

Ditch the cats and get a bigger cam. And change mufflers to something more aggressive.

+1, I vote electric exhaust cutouts before the mufflers and ditch your cats. Keep your quiet mufflers for road trips, highway driving, etc.
