Sick of the rain...

The rain has forced me to leave my car at home. I hate it when I can't drive my car. My car is like therapy for me, helps me forget what is happening in these crazy times. Anyway, streets are flooding out, some red lights aren't working, traffic is so screwed up, people driving around with no lights on in the heavy rain. Some people driving fast and hitting flooded areas, just spraying water everywhere. Just saw someone flood their car out, good going idiot!!! Another idiot, go ahead and turn in front of the 18 wheeler, to get on a flooded side street, good job!!! Now where are you going?

Another 2 days of heavy rain coming! This thing is just spinning on top of us and dumping massive amounts of rain. Water rescues are now going on, flood warnings like crazy! Anyone else having weather issues?

Yep, we are getting back into triple digits this weekend.

This is serious now, a 4 year old just got sweep away here in town. A friend of mine has 8" of water in his house and it is still rising. A large tanker truck just got swept away. They are blocking off roads all over the place.

This reminds me of a hurricane without the constant winds. It is amazing to me at how heavy water is, that the clouds can hold that amount of material. Some places got so much rain so far, that it is off the scale. Still pouring!!!!! Check out a few river stages, 1983 was a record year, this will be above that.

MGD 08-12-2016 04:09 PM

North Hollywood is correct.

I feel for you, OP. Living in Houston for all those years... flooding was a norm when it rained several inches over an hour.

Stay safe and dry.

My wife and I may not be able to make it home, not sure yet. If that's the case, we have been invited to a Sports Bar via facebook! We are regulars there, great people! At least we have a plan. :drinking:
