FED TFS 262cc program for my llsr project

Got a smoking deal on those! I am planning a llsr build with 7600+rpm(5.75'' runners/573ci plenum manifold int.). T&D rockers on baby! Heads are 67cc. Flow 384' cfm int/ 250' exh@700. Should be at 11.3 CR with the 0.41 gasket and I'd like not to fly cut, but if I have to, I'll do. Cam might be around 239/253 680' 660' 112. rockers are 1.8 so lift will be more like 700+. 1209x springs. Meziere EWP & short belt. Crank scraper maybe.

You were trapping almost 124mph with a cam and bolt ons? Damn haha this new setup should treat you nicely... I'm jealous. I only tapped 118 heads cam haha

the 26inch tires really helped with 1/4 and the manifold intake too!

I have high expection, I believe its gonna beat the shit outta my ancient combo!

thanks! Gonna need a real tire then. Never had good traction with the Toyo DRs. They are nice for street but 0 for the track. Gonna go with Either Mickey's or Hoosier DR's. Really sick and tired of those 2.0+ 0-60ft :mad:

I cut 1.6 with my MTs on a 20". 17s should hit waaaay better!

Holy shit thats sweet man! Mind sharing what you scooped those heads for? I just got some GPI LS3 CNC monsters and the port work looks similar to your FED's. I'm jelly of the LLSR setup, that's what I really wanted to do... I've got a Holley high-ram to put on now with the GPI heads but I've gotta flycut. I dunno how youre gonna be able to get away with no cutting with a cam that massive?

Frankenstein heads have a better valve angle, so they would allow for more cam options. The ones I was looking at earlier today had a 10° valve angle as opposed to the stock 15°. They look like really nice pieces

Well those are solid spec so, if Im not mistaken itll be like a 233/247, plenty of space on a 12deg head!

your combo is gonna kick ass. LS3 are the good for hi rpm and Hi Ram is the way to go! I'm confident my Goertz1 intake is gonna shine too! Shoiuld be all good for 8000rpm :bonk:

They retain the 12deg angle from TFS 255. I asked FED and they told me they did not mill the heads. I still think they might have milled just a little to 'clean it', maybe..that might explain the stock TFS have the 69cc chambers. But FED told me it was a complete custom design, so maybe its just that, 67cc custom chambers.

Are those the older heads that they used the trick flow castings?

Yes old shitz. They explained that the casting is an 'all-pro' casting which a bare TFS casting. Then FED design the runners and chambers on this bare casting.

Nice!

Those are sexy heads!
