1LE Spoiler help
Hello new to the forum here. I removed my factory trunk/spoiler to install a carbon fiber trunk/duckbill only to be left over with this epoxy. Any ideas on how to remove it?

Welcome to the forum.
You are likely going to need heat (blow dryer or heat gun) and some adhesive remover, like Goo Gone or 3M to get it off. I'd start with heat and see if you can peel it off. If you use a heat gun be careful not to get it too hot or you could damage the paint. |
i didnt think it would work but you need to get one of those eraser wheels.
I had to redo my winglets and had to use one to remove that adhesive |

those body shops are either idiots or just want to get you to pay some money. use the eraser wheel and just do little at a time let it cool and keep going. I didnt do any damage to my paint |

I had one of my winglets FALL OFF going down the highway and then removed the other side and I never encountered what you're showing there but the winglets are dealer installed and someone could have mega glued yours as opposed to not doing a great job with mine. If they put some kind of expoxy cement you're body shop is probably the only option.

It will come off with the eraser wheel. Took me about 20mins per side going slow and making sure nothing bad happened. Body shop isnt needed at all. |
That looks like windshield urethane. It's a bitch to remove.

You may be able to use some hot water to help soften the glue.
If it's an epoxy, it will still be hard, so the eraser wheel is a good option. Just take your time and be patient, it will be worth it not to scar the paint. |
