Sorry for such the long read |
check out the site firebird******* mod guide helped me a whole hell of alot when I first started modding my old 3.8L...I would say buy my old modded out V6, and strip her, but its at some dealership in tacoma.
BTW in my experience heres the best online store for 3.8L parts. FTPP |

Do you mind me asking what you do for a living? When I was 17 I only made $5000 the entire year. Granted that was back in 1974 but my daughter is 21 and still thinks I have a money tree in my back yard. Please tell!!! |
.
First welcome to the site  What mods do you have on your Camaro? What do you know about the BMW Z4, has she moded her's? lets start with that first. :chevy:

My dad owns his own coal mines (very big daddy's girl=very big allowance...lol its true but i love my dad he is my rock to keep me steady in life) and i've helped fix up a few 55-57 chevy's and was paid for helping
|
no mods on either car...starting all stock...she is also fixin hers up...she is a rich B-word
|
Here's a list of what my V6 had...it was a Y87 too (Meaning it had 3.42 gears and Zexel-Torsen T-2 Series diff , not 3.08...big difference)
Whisper Lid, SLP Cold Air Intake, Ceramic Coated Pacesetter Headers, Random Tech Cat, Magna Flow Catback, Jet PCM, PI 2100 Stall Torque Converter, MSD DIS-4 ignition, Accel Super DIS Coil, Nology Spark Plug Wires, ASP Pulley, Eibach Springs, Bilstein Shocks, BMR subframe connector/sway bars/strut tower brace, Custom shift kit w/vette servos(BIG DIFFERENCE..BTW Transgo makes some good Shift kits) I also had found an aftermarket Intake for the 3.8L...but I'd traded her in for the Z28 I have now. |

The people here are really helpful too |

Why not break the 69 SS out of the garage to get the job done? Why are you wanting to race using your V6 car????

^:word:
Honestly, I don't know enough about the Beamer to help give you the edge. I'm concerned that the Z4 will take you stock for stock....but again. Not enough knowledge. Easiest bang for the buck? Add some NOS.:D TFord's got some info up there for ya, but there's not too much you can do to make it REALLY super fast...other than getting a V8. |
i would but she wants to race the convertibles...lol
