What an absolutely perfect day, evening & night for a car show & drag race event! Temps started out in the mid 70's & got down to around 54 when I headed home. I lost in the first elimination round that you could not buy back in & as much as I hated to, headed home because my back was hurting. That was at around 11:00 and they had to await their turn to run the semi final rounds & finals so it was probably around midnight before they finished. I am anxious to hear who the winners were. The track had a huge turnout of regular racers with the favorable conditions which drags things out for us awaiting our turn for each round but it is sooooooooooo worth the wait.
I will post up just a couple of pics from the event now & then more later & other club members will hopefully post up pics & videos soon of the event & drag race winners. |

I am working on my videos too but will add the rest of my pics while they load. I will go back & edit the first post once I have all the results. The first pic is my older sister & her boys who came to see me race for the first time. Her first job was at the Clarksville, TN drag strip & unbeknownst to my parents, she would sometimes drag race her beautiful Metallic Gold Dodge Coronet 500.

Here is the first of my video clips. I was first pared up with a G8. This is one of the first test & tune runs. It is weird because my second staging light never came on but his did. Then he got his go lights & I did not. Since we only get a few test & tune rune & it was much cooler than the last time & ran with headers, I wanted my time so I waited. Then I was with an SS & he got a little squirrely!

Here is a Test & tune run between Ruby & Yotaman. I got the better reaction time but it did not take long for him to catch & pass me.

Ruby's first elimination rounds run. I lost. You can "buy back" in the first 2 rounds so they would have to beat me 2 more times before I would be out. I have a great time win or lose.

MCCC Vice President RubyCamaro Vs President Black Beauty in the second elimination round. Ruby loses again but they are going to have to beat me one more time to get rid of me as I bought back in one more time. What fun!
