5.0 Mustang w/ Track Pack vs 2010 SS LS3
 
If drivers are equal what are my chances? And what would it take to edge him out I have a K&N cai, flowmaster cat back, diablo predator tuner and the Stang is stock?

Sorry a 2010 will not hang with a 5.0 and track pack. Get a 1LE, NPP and CAI it will kill him on the road coarse but drivers race on the strip.

I'll go out on a limb and say you'd have a tough time with a L99 (let alone a 5.0) that has long tube Tri-Ys, Cold Air Inductions CAI w/ scoop, lighter wheels than stock and tune. :) What the L99 loses in diff gear ratio, it makes up in trans gear ratios.

Your Flowmasters and K&N may sound good, but they make minimal performance gains.

11-12s had no track package, they had a brembo package and the 13-14s track package doesn't effect acceleration either, they are just handling upgrades. Anyways, any 5.0 is going to be a handful for you.

intake, Long tubes, 4.10 gears, and a dyno tune and you will smoke a stock 5.0 (as long as you can drive)

I think with the mods you have you should be able to beat that 5.0 pretty easily if it's stock and drivers are equal.

I quoted you, but my question is to all. Why is the 5.0 faster than our SS Camaros? Is it because of the lighter wheels and the cars weight. Is that the basic reason?
