New Manifold option

Looks like we got another manifold to try out and play with.

I messaged Mast to be sure and it does still require a hood cut to fit.

Trochoidal 05-05-2021 11:25 PM

I like the ability to change velocity stacks but don’t want to cut the hood.

6spdhyperblue 05-06-2021 05:54 AM

There’s no way that fits without cutting

Bummer, I was excited until I opened it. Another option without cutting the hood would be nice. But I guess with LT2 and MSD there really isn’t room I suppose...

Yeah it looks that way. Our only other hopes are the Texas Speed manifold or the BTR manifold but who know when those are going to be ready with the way production on everything is behind.

wont fit in the camaro, but my silverado would love it LOL

i have given a lot of thought to leaving my car at a cnc machine shop to see if they could make an intake manifold that would fit without cutting. i think you could get 95% of a hi ram without much tq loss if yet put a big enough plenum on it. given what a ported msd cost, i think it would be worth it if i could get it done for around $2k. plus you could have the bigger tb bolt pattern to omit the adapter.

That's actually not a bad idea. Somebody could be making some serious cash if they can come up with something. I'm surprised Pray hasn't come up with anything considering how much time and effort he puts into his head reworks. Maybe when he gets his shop built and gets some more help we might get something.

Our billet freak show fits without having to cut or go aftermarket hood. They do wonders on boosted applications and a shop in South Texas "RK Speed" will be doing N/A testing on a few different LT configurations. Of course we don't push a $4700.00 manifold to N/A guys unless they just want it. Once he is done with testing I will share results and our future goal is to cast these vs just having the option in billet.

That is a great looking manifold and would probably go great on my twin turbo 416 car but I don't think I can make myself spend $5000 on an intake. :confused0068:

I'm there with you, on our LS monster builds we've made north of 1000HP N/A with them and over 3200HP on nasty turbo builds. We are in the early stages but we want to cast them and of course to lower the cost down to maybe $1500ish give or take.

Absolutely, especially when a $250 LT2 intake will cram most of the boost that twin turbo 416 can churn out. That billet piece is nice though, I can see a few show cars flaunting it.

If it were $1500 I'd probably switch from current intake.
