Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

So, the reason I ended up here, is that I have a 92 and 97 camaro back in AL. However, I'm in CA now. Here I drive a 2005 Saturn Ion Redline and a 1994 S-10 Blazer. Both of which are getting older. I've been debating on picking up a 5th Gen Camaro. I don't have enough to buy one in cash and i don't want a crazy car payment. So, I've been thinking about getting a used V6. I'm torn because I've wanted a V8 for a long time. Tho, due to finances, I'm kicking the idea around of getting a loaded V6 (no sun roof). It's also an automatic. Any thoughts?

I loved the V6 ! I'm guessing you might feel a difference in performance between the 2010-11 and the 2012- 15 ! But probably not because it's just 12 hp difference! But I'm telling you I was as happy as I am now with my SS ! I guess because it still moved like it was a muscle car! These things will still get loose with this V6 power because the backend swerved around on me a few times, when I smash the pedal !But of course I had to get me the SS because I wanted the rumble sound since I'm keeping it forever! And I never had a V8! So there it is! Lol... Sorry bout the late response! I was on my way to a Christmas party!

Welcome to the forum.
V6 isn't bad to have. Decent power, and will get up and move when the loud pedal is smashed.

Welcome! The v6 is a fun car for the average driver you will miss the v8 sound more than you will the v8 power but exhaust and intake will help that a little bit. Are you NorCal or SoCal, either way they are some great gen 5 camaro groups you should join and get familiar with
