Driveshaft and axle upgrades

Seeing what hp numbers you all have had without upgrading or before needing to upgrade the driveshaft and axles? Especially if you are running a drag pack and launching hard. I'm expecting to be around 900 to the wheels and trying to decide if I need to upgrade my driveshaft and axles before putting the bias ply's on the rear and hitting the track. I also have BMR trailing and control arms.

I'm just at bolt on levels and I did away with the factory two piece driveshaft. Broken driveshafts can do some serious damage.

I almost changed mine in the Mustang GT before selling it. Just the lighter weight CF shaft is so much better.

This post happens to be in the ZL1 section, and they already have a stronger driveshaft and stronger axles than an SS does. So they will probably not need to change parts in most cases.

GM Performance sells the ZL1 driveshaft and ZL1 axles as a drag racing upgrade for an SS as well.

I need to stop hitting "new posts" and accidentally coming into the zl1 section and making an ass out of myself... lol

No worries. See, you got some advice on a relatively cheap upgrade you might not have gotten elsewhere. Serendipity.

Not sure why you brought up a ss? This is in reference to my 18 zl1 and I know the zl1 has stronger DS and axles to begin with, but how much stronger.

Perhaps he was mis-led by the 16 SS mentioned under your name?

Because your info says drives 2016 camaro SS. HDRDTD noticed that too. You did not say in your post what kind of car you were modifying so that was all there was to go on at that point.
