Diesel Pick-Up D**chebags...

We were out cruising around in the Vette yesterday, minding our own business, with the cruise set at 65 mph when a diesel pickup passed us on the driver side.

You know the type, jacked up to the sky, rusted out, loud exhaust, and a Richard Cranium in the driver's seat.

Anyway, this d**chebag proceeded to floor it, filling the both lanes with smoke so I couldn't see. I backed off.

Then this DB slowed down and did it again. I backed off again.

Once the smoke cleared, I floored it, passed him with the one finger salute, got ahead of him and into the left lane. The vehicle I caught up to saw what went on and decided to stay beside me so the idiot couldn't pass us.

This happened before back in May up in Charles City. A different DB in a different truck.

Anyone else ever run into these type of DB's before?

Sadly, yes a few times. It would seem either the lower oxygen at their ridiculous altitude or the clouds of black crud spewing from their tailpipes is dropping their IQs to dangerously low levels.

Just be careful with these idiots. I learned a long time ago (during an incident of my own) to avoid the finger and just get the hell away from them. Some of these brain surgeons would love nothing more than a little escalation.

Funny I had one of those last weekend when I was going to the lake....wife wearing shorts and her bikini top- roof off and she wanted sun.....he messed with us for a while....finally had to get rid of him......it really is a pain in the butt when you just want to cruise somewhere and everyone wants to race or tailgate you.......most don't have insurance either-

I agree wholeheartedly with this - don't provoke, just stay the hell away.

I haven't seen any of the diesel fogging prank in my area yet but it's probably around. On TV's Right This Minute show (Video's) is where I first saw and heard of it, usually they are in a city and fogging somebody on a sidewalk and video taping it. Hey Z51 stingray you may be on youtube. I wonder how asptroopa1 "got rid of him"?

Hahaha, being in Texas this happens to me all the time and I've developed methods to deal with them. I usually do one of two things 1) look at them and laugh confidently and make sure they see you laughing, but not to much or it will anger the d-bag. 2) Act really really really weird, people don't mess with f'ed up people. these tend to work for me, I've found ignoring and showing aggression will both provoke them further. They're are a strange species and must be dealt with carefully.

You're lucky, you can just flash your badge and they'll leave you alone.
