Red ZL1 Calipers?

Has anyone painted the Calipers yet?

It's a shame IMO to have such a great looking caliper be drowned out by a Grey wheel. I love the way the 1LE wheel/brake set up looks.

There is a section on getting them powder coated. I haven't seen them in person, but the pics look nice in a variety of colors.

Thanks. I was sure it could be done but wanted to see how it looked on the ZL1. And an idea on cost if someone has already done it.

A friend had his done, R&R, cleaned, powdered coated, decals and price was $400 each. Some bead blasting was required prior to powder coating. They look great, but I like the originals, besides too much money to spend. I think the price was a little high, but they will look good for a long time. Down time was 5 days.

Red calipers are becoming generic. After seeing them on an SUV, vans, and a Chevrolet Sonic, I now prefer to avoid.

Red calipers were cool 10 years ago

Agreed

I still want red calipers. Or at least offer the option on a car like this. Those Gray calipers are way too washed out by the wheels on the ZL1.

GM reserved the red for the ZL1 1LE

You guys can make fun of the Red Calipers all you wish. The car looks boring with out them.
It should of at least been an option. They are huge! Red paint (or another color for that matter) would only accentuate them!

I like the lime green ones on the lambo myself.. :)
