Order now at MSRP or wait 4 months?
Hello everyone! First post on this forum. I've been eyeling the Corevette C7 for awhile now. It seems like this is the best bang for your buck sports car in terms of performance, styling, pricing, functionality.
I don't need this car for another few months but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to order now at MSRP? and have it ready for me in a few months. Or should I wait a few months to see what cars are available and try to haggle then when the demand has simmered down? What you ya'll think? Here is the requirements I'm looking for Color: Red Package: Z51 LT1 Options: Magnetic Ride Control and Navigation. Very basic. Let me know your thoughts. I did try to contact a few dealerships here in Socal and all of them are telling me 5k over MSRP to place an order. I think it's insane considering all the dealerships in the east coast are letting them go for MSRP and some below MSRP. |
Try Dellilo in Huntington Beach or Selman in Orange, last I heard they were selling at MSRP. Also it will be hard to get a Z51 allocation right now unless you go to the right dealer. Give it a shot but waiting a few months might not be a bad idea.

I paid MSRP. I would expect that you will see MSRP through next summer. Even than, maybe you will save $1-2K. Don't expect a 10% discount on this car.

Look for another car in a few months…I don't wanna see another C7 in SoCal. :sm0: J/K…order now, and it'll be ready in 6-8 weeks (depending on when your allocation is accepted). No other car out there will beat this car bang for buck wise in a few months. Whadda ya waiting on? Good luck!

You guys really think it will stay MSRP? I'm hoping within 3-4 months I can haggle for one that's sitting on the lot.

There are only a few dealers in SoCal that are selling at MSRP. Everyone I went to besides Quality in Escondido had a markup. I paid a markup, but it was fair. I got the car when I wanted…so all in all I'm happy. I could have held out, but then again, I wouldn't be driving the C7 right now. I would be next on the list at Quality, but who knows when the car would be built. Good luck. Irvine, Selman, Guaranty, Costa Mesa, Paradise, Riverside, Kerney Mesa, Jimmie Johnson, etc. all had markup.

Panera, at this point with a new model that is so highly touted and reviewed I think anything better than maybe 1000 off for the 2014 year would be a miracle

I would highly suggest that you contact that dealer. I would also ask exactly what they mean by MSRP. Make sure there are no doc fees, no add ons, ect ...
