Well, I finally did it. I started streaming on Twitch! Went through a few test runs, and now i'm pretty much up and running. If any of you have twitch or want to sign up and watch, here's my streaming info.

Anyone else stream or just watch Twitch?

kalimus 12-01-2015 01:59 PM

I don't stream or watch twitch. I guess I just don't understand the interest in watching others game. Millions of people obviously do, I just don't. Out of interest, what gave you the desire to start steaming? Is there a specific game you want to steam? Something you're especially good at?

Well, I have always loved playing games. Have always had a gaming console since I was about 8 and played on the original Nintendo. I'm gone through basically all consoles since. Except I went from the ps1 to xbox, to the 360 and now the xbone. I would love to get a ps4, because there are a few exclusives I would like to play. I have always been pretty good at any game I played, except for first person shooter games. for some reason I can never get better.

I just recently started playing computer games, within the last few years. I dabbled in WoW for a few months, but then Star Wars The Old Republic came out and I was on that for about a year. I went back to console gaming and now I play both pretty frequent. I am currently playing ARK: Survival Evolved on PC.

I actually heard about twitch from my fiancé's brother. He used to stream on twitch and I think he's getting back into it. I used to watch clips of people on youtube playing games, and since we don't have cable, we just watch Netflix and hulu plus. So after hearing about twitch, I started following a few people, and to me it's fun watching them play and interact with their followers, or their friends they play with. There's some good entertainment to be found. Especially the storybook type games like The walking dead, Life is Strange, etc.

I've been thinking about streaming for about 4 months now, I just didn't have the proper streaming equipment/computer until now. My main goal is just to meet new people and play some games with them and just have fun. Since i'm playing anyway, and it cost me very little extra to stream, I figured why not.

Just upgraded to Windows 10, and streaming xbox one on the PC is very seamless and easy. Definitely worth.

I feel like you would get a lot of trolls on the stream. Maybe I'll pop on yours at some point and check it out.

PoorMansCamaro 12-02-2015 12:38 PM

I'm not sure what you mean? trolls in the chat box or trolls in voice chat? for the chat box, I can moderate it and assign people to be moderators, who I trust. as for voice, I would only invite people I know, or if I give someone a shot to play games with me and they end up trolling, I can just kick them out of voice chat. There are "stream snipers", but that can be controlled a little, by not letting people see the server i'm playing on. It may happen here or there, but it's just a game. :D

Yeah, stop on by, chat it up. maybe we can play a game or 2. what games do you like to play?

kalimus 12-02-2015 05:08 PM

I've been really having a hard time choosing games lately. I've been hopping out of boredom, and even downloaded some older games. I've been trying to get into the new CoD, but it's not great. I play WoW, but it's stagnant and boring. I'm hoping some up and coming games will renew some interest for me.

I really don't know what all happens during the streaming thing other than and occasional video on Youtube, so I just assumed it's internet, it's live, there is voice and chat, there are trolls. I didn't know how you invited people, or if they just randomly search... etc etc.

I love watching Twitch streamers i am subbed to a few as well. I watch people who are better than me at the games i am playing so i can pick up tips and pointers to see how to be better. But i also watch people play games i cant afford but i still want to see what goes on in the game. The only people i sub to are people who play multiple games and no matter what they are playing its really entertaining for me. Grats on streaming PMC good luck with it.

Thanks! I'm having fun so far. I also sub to a few streamers. I look forward to PAX and TwitchCon, I'll try to make it to one or both next year. I hear they have some good booths for helping beginners out, and perhaps meet some people that I may play games with.

Thanks :D Once school is over this semester I'm going to start streaming. We only have 1 streaming computer as of now, but I will be piggybacking on PMC's streams when I can.

Ohhhh!!! You mean you will be visiting Hell next August. :smiling1:
