APEX Wheels VS-5RS and EC-7RS

Hi!

Apex shot my car yesterday with their 19" VS-5RS and 18" EC-7RS.

The wheels look amazing! I was going to get the ARC8s in about a year, but I decided to go with the VS-5RSs. The group buy coming up within the next 1-2 weeks will be too good to pass up.

My understanding is that they initially released the VS-5RS and EC-7RS in 18" sizes. They had a group buy on the 18" a few months ago.

The 19" are not available for purchase on their site yet, but they will launch a group buy sometime within the next week or two on the 19" VS-5RS and EC-7RS.

Both wheel designs look great, but I got a weak spot for the VS-5RS one

Without breaking any group buy rules, how much do people end up saving, when participating in a group buy like the upcoming one?

Oh, and they won't have the Anthracite finish on the VS-5RS design, at least to start with, right?...

It seems like the VS-5RS are more popular lol. based on comments and the sale on the 18" wheels.

I did not confirm, but was told the discount on the 18" was $400 for the set. I heard that the 19" discount might be more since the 19" wheels are going to be more expensive. This is of course assuming enough people buy them, but the last group buy hit the min number of people in a few days apparently.

I am not sure exactly. I think you could select anthracite for the 18" group buy, you just may need to wait longer to get them which I am fine with. Here is the link to the 18" group buy. Their site and group buy page lists anthracite as an option, unless there will be changes for what they are doing on the 19" wheels.

Thanks for the info, Serper, much appreciated!

EDIT: Ah yes, actually Anthracite *is* available on the 5. Race Silver and Satin Bronze are not :)

Yep, I believe so. both wheel types will be available in 19x11 and 19x12.

the EC-7RS in the pics I posted are 18s though, just making sure. They do look a little small on the car.

Another vote for the 5 here....
Serper, looks like those filled up the fender wells more although it could just be the angle the pics were taken...
Did you notice if the tires were the same on both sets of wheels?
That's the only thing that worries me about 19's, don't care for the increased fender gap and not interested in lowering the car but better tire selection.
Might wait for the 20's but slim pickings in a 325.

The VS-5RS was a 19" The EC-7RS was an 18". I think the 18" definately look a little small, but I think the 19" looks perfect. personally, i would not go with a bigger wheel. just aesthetically speaking, not even tire selection wise.

tires on these two wheels are different.

VS-5RS was PS4S 325 30 19, 305 30 19

EC-7RS was a Nankang AR-1 335 30 18, 315 30 18

The 19” VS-5RS look great on your car as well as the tire sizes.

Thanks for the info, that explains the difference I saw in the gaps.
I agree the 19's do look great and anthracite would be my color of choice with hyper blue....
