Racergirl's Fest Experience
 

Well. Where do I even start? First off, just have to give a MAJOR thank you to all the moderators and the staff at Beech Bend for putting on another great Fest! I also have to give my dad, Kurt the biggest thank you of all for helping me with my car and being my crew chief and being one of my biggest supporters. Another thanks goes out to Uncle Frank and good friend, Franky for helping us out and arranging for Andrew and Harold to trailer our cars.

Now that the thank you’s are out of the way; this Fest made it to number one in my book. I qualified 3rd in drag racing for the V6 class with a 12.77 @ 107. Congrats to both twin turbo guys for making both 10 second passes. And a congrats to Richard and Ruby for winning in the V6 class!

It was truly great to see my old friends that I love so much and meet new ones! I finally got to meet Becky and hubby, Joe and Al O! Amazing people right there. I just want to say how honored I was to receive the Camaro Choice Award from Al himself. Truly truly honored. This will be a Fest I will never forget!

Racergirl thanks for the kind words. Myself and Franky will be there for you always you and your dad will always be part of the D.S.I team. I also want to give a shout out to trent for making history with me by being the first 10 sec side by side pass with v6 Camaros sucks to be on the losing end of the race but after meeting trent and his wife i didn't mind losing to him. Im sure we will meet again. no excuses Trent made the best pass his car ever ran and I had issues that's racing hats off to him. All and all we had a great time glad to see Rick and Ruby some of the other racers we met before. It was great to meet all the GPI guys Aaron and Ryan and the rest of the crew are true pros. Hopefully there will be a Camaro fest 8 and we can do it again and my son can make some passes as his freshly Chevrolet built trans blew up on his first time trial. As I said that's racing we will get it fixed and do all over again. Hope to see everybody next year.

Thanks for all the great pics Racergirl. Some how I knew that pic of the back window would make the list....lol. We do have a pretty good crew of Camaros with some of the most loving and friendly owners you will ever meet. Always great to see you and your dad working hard on your car. He loves making it go fast, and you love racing it hard... great team right there.

The last pic is some friendships that will be for life. You do know that, I call you "My Children". Sometimes it's "My Children of the Corn"...lol.

Thanks Frank, it was nice meeting you and your family. And it was a blast running our cars. We were supposed to meet up in the finals, but when I pulled up to the staging lanes for my 2nd qualifying run and saw you sitting there 1st in line by yourself i thought... heck with the finals, this is happening now! Frank's right, that was the fastest pass my car has ever made and he was having some issues, so I know I didn't beat him at his best but like he said, that's racing. His car is capable of alot more than a 10.9, I guess that day was just my day. And props to Franky and Racergirl for racing out there too. It was a good time and I look forward to seeing all you guys again.

Great pictures, thank you for sharing.. I didn't get to go because it was the same weekend of another event. So it is great seeing the photos and videos! Next year I hope they have one and I'm planning on the Camaro Fest over the other!
