I saw this today and thought it's NICE:

2017 ROUSH P-51 Mustang. 727 HP, only 51 being built. :confused0068:

Gunmetal Speedster 07-31-2017 07:02 PM

I like silver and I like the olive drab color, but both together looks weird to me. Overall, not a bad looking ride though.

TheFlyingBananaSS 07-31-2017 07:20 PM

Mustang has moved away from the retro look just like camaro new generation did. My son's '09 mustang has more character than this one does.

InFiD3ViL 07-31-2017 07:56 PM

I just watched a video on that car. Its really nice.

SummitWhite11 07-31-2017 08:13 PM

Someone I know at work has a 2015 Stage 3 Roush Mustang which is producing around the same amount of HP. It was blue and a red stripe in the center. He paid to have it delivered from Illinois to South Florida and spent a pretty penny on it.

rontammy0 07-31-2017 08:27 PM

It may be rare....it may have power. But I dont really like it. Seems to lack that wow factor. New Camaros and Mustangs both seem just average in looks.

One's a Fusion coupe, the other is a Malibu coupe. To each his own, but a Z06 or the upcoming king ZR1 over any P51 ZL11LE Demon b.s. gimmick as far as I'm concerned

18LTLoveIt 07-31-2017 10:08 PM

Just as bad as 6th Gen Camaro front end. And I dont get the extreme sloped back window & trunk curved up to window. If that wasn't bad enough the body color underneath the back of the car was a major mis-step. My 2008 looked way better, as someone said above that the 2009 had more style.

STUNNAH 08-01-2017 12:31 AM

Yep that's not a Camaro...

DO NOT BUY ONE
you will make a huge mistake..dreadful car...keep your camaro..plus the issues with these cars is a joke..
i owned one for 7 months..hated it in the end

Once a year at our local airport they sponsor a plane show.

Only a few of them fly but to see them carried in on trucks when they close down the 4-lane road is amazing. They take down the street lights to clear the wings.

Royal Tiger 08-01-2017 06:08 AM

The olive drab insert looks dreadful. :barf:

lbls1 08-01-2017 07:33 AM

Not too shabby for a Mustang. I still could not justify looking at a mustang, especially with the new and brilliant breed of Camaro in both the 5th and 6th generations, but Mustangs are also very strong cars and are definitely competitive.

Spurshot 08-01-2017 07:35 AM

I'm a huge P-51 fan...the airplane, not so much that car.

I had a chance to fly a P-51 for an hour doing aerobatics. Really all I ever imagined. It didn't disappoint.

My flight.

Opportunity of a lifetime. Awesome. :)

My favorite fighter plane of WWII is the Me-262. Go figure. :D

God these Mustangs are hideous. Could have 3000 hp, get 300 mpg, cirlce the world in an hour and I still wouldn't want one.

Dude, we get it......... You like licking Camaro balls and slobbing the knob. If it weren't for the Mustang, there wouldn't even be a Camaro, period. I've owned both and driven all of the newer ones except the 6th Gen Camaro. Saying the S550 is of lesser quality than a 5th Gen is laughable at best. The interior of the 5th Gen is absolutely horrid compared to even a S197 Mustang. Like I said, I have owned a 09 GT Premium that I absolutely beat the piss out of and it never gave me a lick of problems that I didn't cause myself. How many cars can bust an input shaft on an automatic trans, have it replaced with a stronger one, and still work without further issue? I can count on one hand how many times that has happened to me with one finger. Every other car that I've owned that popped the input shaft, took the rest of the trans with it. Now, back to civilized conversation.......ffs.

Chevy and Ford going away from the retro look is going to kill them eventually.

Its already started to a point Imo. But when the need for retro feelings hit....I just look down my my ZZ Top key chain while cruising and and all is good. Brings me back to the 80s cruising in my buddies 77 Camaro with Gimme all your lovin blasting out of the Alpines lol.

Unlikely. Not every Camaro has been retro designed. It's like back when sampling old tracks from the disco era was all the rage. There comes a time when it needs to evolve into its own. I'd be very curious to see a new Camaro that doesn't pretend to be something out of its past, but still maintains the lineage.

He really hurt your feelings huh? First time I've seen a Camaro owner so adamantly defend a Mustang on a Camaro forum in such detail. Licking Camaro balls and slobbing the knob is not civilized conversation. FFS

SSEssence 08-01-2017 09:22 AM

The olive drab insert would have been better with some more olive drab accents, good looking car overall

Dmpsix 08-01-2017 09:28 AM

There's like no room in that engine compartment at all wow.

So if they built these, or something like it, with all the modern performance and other modern stuff....people would buy them? Sorta going back to their roots, but with ultimate badass...

No hurt feelings here at all. I just hate flat out brand bashing. Every make has their pros and cons. I'm a true gearhead, I can find potential in just about any decent car. So if you want to join in with the sausage fest, knock yourself out. I dislike a lot of Hondas, but have seen some clean ass hatches that would hand a lot of cars on here their asses in short order. So I have respect for the ones that are built properly. Same for the Evos, WRX, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini,, Nissan's, there are lots of good cars out there with equally great platforms to tweak on. I will say that I enjoyed my Camaro while I had it. And again, I also enjoyed my Mustangs too. I'm not blatantly biased or equipped with brand blinders like some people are. Enjoy what you like and to each their own. Open bashing is not really necessary or helpful. Let other people find out on their own. Cheers!

No thanks. Love first gens but I'd want something far more contemporary in design rather than making a carbon copy of something that's already been done.

To make the argument of "I know this is a Camaro forum" invalid.
