For all the folks who wrote this off as just the overseas-spec model:

-Shares only the roof and a handful of bolts with the Thai-built Colorado.
-Frame is completely different, essentially a scaled-down Silverado chassis.

Its great that is about to become available.
With its production being moved to Wentzville Mo.
Will help the Stlouis area economy
And it so far is looking to be a nice re do ! ! !

100 times better than its previous version...
I'll take a extended cab 4X4 with the 3.6 V6....
But that won't happen unless someone buys one for me LOL...
I guess I will keep my little S10 still:sad0147:

Ok so I take back what I said in the other thread about not having a reg cab cause the extended cab looks great. Also I like the center console shifter I hate having all that space between the seats in trucks. Interior looks great as well. This might be my next new vehicle when I pay off my Fiat in a few years. So looks like I will be trying to get a 2016/17 Colorado or Canyon depending on looks Z71 extended cab Diesel 4x4 hopefully around 29 or 30k price range maybe 31k in forest green or summit white. I do like the non chrome grille on the Z71 I cant stand chrome. I like the more body color grille or a black surround grille.

Actually less than an hour.

Launch products always get their sites up first.

Anyone want to speculate on pricing. I am betting a loaded crew cab z71 will push to $40grand.

Thats pretty cool stuff...surprising if you ask me. I knew it wouldn't be the same as the global one, but I figured most of the internals and frame would be unchanged.

Can't wait to see pricing and MPG estimates.

I can see myself having one of these or maybe the next Canyon when I decide to retire my current Colorado in the future. If I got the Z71 I'd be looking to switch out the grille and wheels with the LT versions.

The styling grew on me overnight, specially after seeing the black one. Still like the Silverado styling better but this is a good looking truck. I'm a little worried that they're bragging about HP and towing capacity but not one mention of fuel economy. If the price and MPGs are as or more impressive than what has been shown I could be in the market in a few years. As much as I love them I don't really need a V8 Silverado and this would make a great daily driver.

PYROLYSIS 11-20-2013 10:34 AM

Ok, just checked out the site. They must have known that I liked this truck cause there is no blue, not even a lousy dark blue. What is this, the Camaro?! :emoticon1:

Silverlsinva 11-20-2013 11:05 AM

^^^^LOL I noticed that too but didn't want to start the whole why not blue GM cause heck their logo Has Blue in it as well. Even the last Colorado had a ABM as a color option. Maybe blue will become availiable after a year or so. I still dig the Green white and Black the most. Heck the Camaro doesn't even offer green or the light brown this does.
