Camaro Encounter ~ Driving out of WalMart, heading home when a Red Jewel 2SS/RS pulls in. I do a quick u turn & pull up beside my twin from North Carolina. Inside my twin is a young Soldier & his Mom. It is Thursday which means he just graduated Basic Training - and from C Co. 2nd BN 47th INF.

"OMG", say I, "Charlie Rocks"! The boy looks at me like I'm nuts but starts laughing as I explain that hubby was XO at 2/47 for 2 years; almost 5 years ago. Then I ask Mom if the Camaro is hers, she says YES (woohoo!!! we ladies rock). We all got out, start chatting it up in the parking lot & take some pictures, though all I have is my crappy cell phone which has horrible resolution, but please check out my album anyway. Tina got her baby on Halloween and is still waiting for her custom plates "BADSSRS". Go Tina! We enjoyed our chat until the cold air chased me into my Camaro and home and her into WalMart to find the kids. Small world.

Yup,...mine will run $1350 and they're painting the whole hood white too. I showed the paint manager quotes others had gotten for painting stripes that just replace the vinyl and we went from there.
So no paint codes for the blue huh?

Hi Mark, I kinda figured out your name already, but I guess I was tired when I read your posting before about all the Camaro's. Opelika is right on the way to Montgomery, we could meet up at exit 62 on I-85, I'm sure there is a gas station and I know there is a Cracker Barrel just off the interstate. I will send you my cell# via pm, give me a call Friday afternoon and I'll let you know how many folks I've managed to wrangle up.

Hey Mark...what's the latest on your Camaro???...

Hi Mark. Yes, I am planning on coming out to Montgomery. Hubby has to work on Saturday but I am hoping my son (who is currently stationed at Hunter Army Airfield) will be able to drive out with me. Are you registering your Camaro's at Fort Benning and when are you planning on doing it? Maybe we could set up a time to meet for lunch? BTW, you will not regret getting an RJT, it is the most beautiful color (imo).

p.s. I am totally jealous that you have more than one. . . well not really jealous, but envious. lol

p.p.s. Maybe it would be possible to meet up in the Opelika, AL area to join up as we cruise to Montgomery??? Just a suggestion.
