I know this was touched on a little bit in the photo gallery thread, but what do you think about the 45th anniversary stripes? Love 'em, hate 'em, or any regrets (ordered stripe delete and now want them or vise versa)?

personally I like them though I think I'd prefer them painted on and I think the gray part would look better glossy rather than flat

I like it. Makes it different than other Camaros that are not the 45th. Agree with Ocikat that glossy, gray, would be better but with waxing they seem to brighten up some.

Yeah, when the initial pictures came out of the 45th, I was honestly not a fan of the stripes and planned to order with the stripe delete. It wasn't until my local dealership finally had one on the lot and saw them in person.

I think they are great I just wish they were painted on or at least had a layer of clear coat over them.

I think they are just plain sexy. Clear coat wouldn't be a bad deal but the flat seems to make 'em stand out a bit more (IMHO) which is just fine with me.
I REALLY like the fact that it has truly unique stripes and not just a different color of the same old same old.

I like them perfectly as is. They really set it apart. I recognized my car from 150 feet away when I first got it as as surprise solely because of the stripes.

i like them, other people like them a lot too. BUT, let me ask you guys, have you seen how easily these red stripes get swirls??? they are buff safe with a PC and a LIGHT polish, but still i wash these things so easily and they still get small swirls. tip--wash by dragging your MF towels/mitts straight down the stripe, so at least the swirls are linear with the rest of the car. side and curvy swirls are the most visible.

Yeah, GM does give you an option for stripe delete for cars that are ordered...Not sure how dealerships handle it with cars already on the lot though. There are a few pictures of the 45th with a stripe delete from "vesi" in the photo gallery thread.

yes you can order the stipe delete, and yes the can be removed, use a hair dryer and carefully peel off, I'm not speaking from personal experience but from friends who have removed them

When I bought mine. The guy that preped my car told me, While waxing the car, try to keep the wax off of the stripes (With them being a flat color and all). I mean, this make sence to me. Wax does not rub off a flat surface as well as a shiney surface. What do you people have to say? or what have you done or not done?

I mask off the stripes when polishing and/or waxing
