I'm slowly getting ready for the 2013 season with a lot of anticipation and I've registered for 3 HPDE events with my ususal monday-tuesday nights local lapping club.

For this upcoming Spring I just upgraded the following:
1LE hubs
1LE axles
New style rear LCAs.
Replaced my Pfadt racing sways for the Pfadt ZL1 Spec sways.
Currently adding a full belly pan with NACA ducts for the trans area
Heat extracting hood that will also help increase downforce

At the end of last season I was running:
Pedders XAs lowered 1 inch
Pfadt rear control arms
Pfadt solid subframe bushings
Pfadt racing sways
Pfadt front spherical bushings
TSW 20x10 Nurburgrings all around with Michelin Pilot Super Sports 285/35-20
Standard bolt-on in the engine area

Planned upgrades still in the works for this year:
Brake ducts
Roll bar so I can use a harness (having a buddy make me a custom one)
Pedders camber plates
Tow hook (hoping I'll never need it)

Will be installing a 6-point cage in the next week or two (from RPM Roll Bars). Have Kirkey 71 series seats coming, and need to order Team Tech Ram Pack 6-point harnesses today. All will be removable so I can swap back to stock seats and just leave the roll bar mounting points in because this car is also my DD. But I am 6'3" and am tired of my helmet rubbing the roof. This will give me a MUCH better seating position as well as safety of course.

What's the deal with 1LE axles? Do they offer performance benefits or are they just able to withstand more abuse?

I put in a TSV2300 supercharger over the Christmas break and so am looking forward to getting out there with the added hp! First track day is at Summit Point March 8th for me (in case anyone else is in the area and likes the idea of one day on the track).

Added a tow hook as well a few months back to the front, and opened up the mail slot for more air in. Hey did you guys know you can take off the thick rubber gasket at the back of the hood on race days? The little pocket that forms behind the hood is low pressure and sucks air out of the engine bay. Easy to take off the trim and put it back on. It's a trick the Corvette guys taught me.

Who's running the stock 20" rear wheels on the front? Trying to make an improvement on the cheap so going to a square setup with the increased contact patch on the front should help quite a bit with the push. I am thinking I will give this a try running the new BFG Rival's in 285/35R20. Tire is a tad big for a 9" rim but a lot of guys run bigger tires on rims to stay within "Class" in various circuits so I think it will work out well. Thoughts?

I am running the stock 9 inch wheel on the front with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and am very happy with performance.

What size tire are you running?

I have 10.5 inch Forgestars with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 295/30zr20 tires. A little shorter than stock (27" vs 28.7") but I like. Gotta watch scraping because I am low on coilovers, too. I don't do speed bumps - like the Corvette guys, I just back out. But traction is amazing.

I figured I would share my autocross setup. Still more to do to the car but that has to wait on the funds.

For the autocross course I usually run my shocks at 12B/16R front and 18B/24R rear.

For the Drag strip I am still tweaking but I have had good results with running 12B/3R Front 24B/16R Rear.

I've been absent awhile (deployed) but back now and preparing for my next track day at Auto Club Speedway in LA area next month. Still stuck on the stock wheels/tires as the budget is not allowing for anything more at the moment (though I have been eyeballing a couple deals posted on Camaro5). Anyhow, interested in hearing what everyone thinks about tire and wheel size they have been running and if they would do anything differently. Trying to make whatever the next buy is the last one with respect to wheel size. Problem I see is the best wheel/tire sizes are awfully short. Afraid I'll get the car so damn low it won't even be drivable on the track let alone the road. So post up what you would do based on your experience and a limited budget (I can't afford Forgelines no matter how bad I want them). Thanks.

I did several day on the stock PZeros, they did well, especially in the rain.

I now did my first two track days on the ZL1 wheels and tires. they did well, except in the rain.... lol don't push them in the rain.

If you can do the 19" on all 4 corners with 305's, do it. if not, do the 305's in the rear, 285's up front on 20's.

I also am running the Pedders Pace Car Kit, with diff bushings and toe bushings. I run the sway bars full hard front and middle in the rear. I adjust the coilovers for the track.

Yeah I would like to at least get a 285 square setup on 19s but I just don't have the cash flow at the moment. Would really like to see what I can do with some good tires. Still getting ok laps but the pizza cutter Pirelli fronts are killing me.
