First you need to create and album from your own Private Messages page at the Top Right.

Select Pictures & Albums on the left side menu and go at the bottom of the page to create a new Album, then clicking Add Pictures; Simply select add and locate the pictures on your computer.

After come back in this Social group click ADD pictures to Group just above the tread posts. you will be able to select them from your personal albums.
