With it heating up down here in Texas, it's probably a good time for me to start using a better oil. I'm starting to see temps up to 285* already, and it's only ~85* here right now. I've seen some recommendations for 10W-40, but haven't figured out what brand to go with yet. I'm currently running Mobil 1 5W-30.

So, what are you guys running with the summer temps starting to pick up?

I've used the Mobil 1 5w-30 several times before without problems. But recently I talked to a guy who tracks his car much more than I do. He uses Amsoil full synthetic and said his car runs 10 degrees cooler with that so I'm giving it a try at the end of this month at Sebring.

You planning on running the signature series?

yep, its in there now.

Let me know how it goes. Wondering if an aftermarket radiator will keep it a little cooler as well? I haven't seen an oil cooler out yet.
