Hey guys and gals,

Here's a link to an event that the National Corvette Museum is having on May 31 through Jun 2. It features seminars, dynos, tuning, drag racing and autocross. Its open to all GM cars. If you have any questions, I'm involved with getting this new event up and running.

I was wanting to go to the Chevy High Perfromance Nationals in Commerce GA that weekend. I haven't made any reservations for it yet. This one would be alot more convenient....

I plan on making it down for the Friday events with the wife. I'm excited to see some action on the drag strip.

Let's not forget about this one! Sounds like fun!

We will be there. Lath has been wanting to do this one since he first heard about it. Will be bringing both cars. Hoping to get my first chance at making the hubby's Trans Am eat my Camaro SS dust.

I'm really glad to see this Kentucky group finally awakening from your winter slumber. Don't forget about Music City CC's Spring Fling event this month. Hope to see a lot of you there!

Thanks Sparky. But looks like Im gonna have to wait a little longer to get my chance at taking down that TA. Due to an unfortunate dealership bill im acquiring atm we wont be able to make it. The wiring issues in the TA Ive been chasing after for over a year now may finally be getting fixed correctly. After several misdiagnosis's by other shops and a lack of electrical knowledge on my part to fix it I bit the bullet and took it in to my buddy at the nearby dealership and they traced the problems to several places. So my drag racing money will be buying front wiring and lighting assemblies for the fogs and turn signals. :( But as long as it fixes it I guess I wont complain to much.

I'll do my best to make this one. Saturday may be the only day for me. I'd rather do the autocross anyway. Anyone seen the list of seminars for Thursday?

5pm Z06Fest BBQ dinner @ Holiday Inn Express (additional $$)


Thursday Schedule - Sessions:
8am Museum Opens (all sessions are held at Museum)
9:30-10:30am Session1: DBR High Performance
10:45-12pm Session2: Torvec - Powertrain Enhancements
1:30-2:15pm Session3: Basics of Drag Racing (I think we all have this down after last Saturday!)
2:30-3:15pm Session4: Honing Autocross Skills (I plan to have a front row seat for this one)
3:30-4:30pm Session5: TBA


Friday Schedule - Drag Racing:
Gates Open at 7:00am (all racing held at Beech Bend)
8:30-12pm Time Trials
1-5pm Eliminations


Saturday Schedule - Autocross Racing:
Gates Open at 7:45am (all racing held at Beech Bend)
8:45am Drivers Meeting
9-12pm Fun Runs/Practice
1-5pm Competition & Fun Runs


You also have access to the National Corvette Museum each day between 8am - 5pm.

I spoke to the Events Director at Museum yesterday. She said only 35 people were registered. This means that you will have lots of time at the track unless a ton of people register in the next couple weeks. I am registered and plan to attend all 3 days. They hope to have a good turnout and make this an annual event. I hope to see alot of you there. If you can only attend part of the event that is cool also.

Lets go Guys and Gals, this event starts tomorrow. If you can only attend one day, show up and have some fun. I think they have closed the online preregistration but I seriously doubt they will turn anyone away if you show up.

ALSO, if you own a helmet (DOT, Snell, etc. rated) bring it along.

They will have some helmets available for people to use.
