    You must have misunderstood one of my posts.
    What I said was there was absolutely no difference with a K&N filter in the stock box.

    The CAI is your best bet.

    Hey!
    I hope you don't mind a few questions about CAI systems:
    I've been reading up on your post and am leaning towards CAI, Inc., but...
    I see that you rated the Stock Airbox as pretty darn good.
    I noticed that there is an unused inlet on the lid of the stock box;
    would there be any benefit or detriment to open the hole and run a
    tube down the fender wall and have the opening down near the bottom
    of the chassis? Logically, this should allow some cooler air into the stock
    box and provide some CAI type gains. I've put in a K&N filter; is it
    better than OE or just hype?
